Buttercup Blow Dryer
We’ve always used inexpensive pink blow dryers from Target and we recently decided to invest in a quality blow dryer. We both luv Buttercup from Drybar because it works for both of us even though we have completely different types of hair. I have thick, naturally curly hair and Rachel has very fine, straight hair. Instead of having a janky motor it has a special ionic technology which seals the cuticle and reduces frizz while you dry. It cuts down on drying time which reduces the amount of time your hair is exposed to heat and it also saves you time. It also has three settings for heat (high, medium, low), two power/speed options (high or low), and a cool air shot option which I use when I’m done to smooth everything down. Also included are two concentrated nozzles: a wider nozzle and a narrow one. The wider nozzle is good for long, thick hair (which is what I use) and the narrow nozzle is good for intensity and precision.
T3 Curling Iron
Similarly, I’ve always used Conair curling irons because my hair is so curly naturally I can hold a curl no matter the type of iron. I decided to invest in the T3 curling iron because mine finally gave out (RIP) and I heard such wonderful reviews about it. I went to Ulta and bought a set that included the handle and three different types of barrels (1” straight barrel, 1.5” straight barrel, 1.25-75″ tapered barrel). It comes with five settings and I use the third one. I used to use the fifth and then Rachel said my hair was literally smoking because my hair was burning. No matter how thick/thin your hair is, there is a specific setting for you! I just think it gives such beautiful results and my curls are always perfect.
