Anyone else feel like you blinked and December happened? Somehow I still managed to try some new makeup. Here’s everything I’ve been loving!
**Also, please note my nails are horribly bruised from my last manicure so I have to rock the natural nails for a few weeks.
Bobbi Brown bronzer– I have been looking for a new bronzer for a few months now and I’ve used Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil for years but I wanted something new. I also recently bought Hula by Benefit and I was not a fan… I thought it was too muddy and it was difficult to blend out so I had to bake any time I wore it. I was also considering an Hour Glass bronzer but it was so sheer when I swatched it and it has shimmer in it which I don’t like in my bronzer. So after all that soul searching I decided on Bobbi Brown. I’ve never used anything by the brand but I’ve been using it for a few weeks and I’m in love. It’s a matte bronzer and it goes on so smoothly. I bought Golden Light, which is a light shade, and I just pack more on if I have a spray tan.
Maybelline Baddest Beige lipstick- I bought this because Emily Gemma likes it. That’s literally the only reason I bought it. I typically don’t love drugstore lip products but I definitely recommend this one. It’s such a pretty nude and it’s so soft. I literally just kept putting it on my lips because it felt good. If you don’t like a nude lip I recommend anything from this lipstick line because it’s so moisturizing!
Cetaphil Night Relief moisturizer- I just ran out of my Clinique night moisturizer so I made Rachel come to Target with me and I’ve been using this ever since. It’s half the cost and it is recommended for normal to dry, sensitive skin. I don’t have any of that but I still use it and love it. I prefer moisturizers with a pump for sanitary reasons and it’s fragrance free which is a must. It also has some amazing antioxidants for your skin. I’ve been using it for about a month and I see no difference between using this and my Clinique Super Rescue Antioxidant Night Moisturizer.
e.l.f. setting spray– the most random favorite I’ve ever had. I looked on beautypedia and it was the only setting spray with five stars. I’ve been using it for about a month and I’ve been loving it! It also has some fantastic anti-aging ingredients but it doesn’t really matter as it can’t go through your makeup to absorb onto your face. It does help keep your makeup on, though. So just get the anti-aging benefits from other parts of your skincare routine!
Clinique Pep-Start lip balm- Cute packaging and good reviews are pretty much the only way I’ll buy something. This lip balm is so moisturizing and it lasts a while on your lips. Mine is clear but it comes in 3 other colors and I put it on every morning before I leave for work. Kind of expensive so I’m sure you could find a dupe but I love it!
Hope everyone had a fabulous holiday!
